Jazz Standards Vol.89 Buddy Tate

Buddy Tate (1913-2001) foi um saxofonista dotado de um sopro extraordinário. Não é citado ao nível dos melhores, mas foi decididamente um deles. Tocou muito com Count Basie, Andy Kirk e Lucky Millinder e mais tarde com Paul Quinichette, Jay McShann e Lionel Hampton. Gravou muitos discos como leader e aqui toca standards em quatro sessões, uma de cada década da sua carreira.
