Bobby Hackett (1915-1976) dedicou-se à trompete e principalmente à corneta, o instrumento que a antecedeu. Formado ao estilo de Bix Beiderbecke e Louis Armstrong manteve-se sempre fiel ao tradicionalismo. Tocou com Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller, Eddie Condon, Jack Teagarden, Dizzy Gillespie e Mary Lou Williams. Nos anos 60 acompanhou Tony Bennett. Aqui toca standards em três décadas, nas duas últimas sessões ao vivo.
