Jazz Standards Vol.76 Jimmy Knepper

O trombonista Jimmy Knepper (1927-2003) nasceu em L.A. e cedo entrou no circuito das big bands. Os seus créditos foram confirmados em formações como as de Charles Mingus, Stan Kenton, Gil Evans e Benny Goodman. Knepper não gravou profusamente como leader, mas nesta selecção comanda três sessões bem espaçadas no tempo, em que toca standards em quinteto.
