Bobby Jaspar (1926-1963), saxofonista belga, morreu aos 37 anos vítima do consumo de droga. Desdobrou a sua actividade entre Paris e os E.U.A. com sucesso em ambos os continentes. Foi casado com a pianista-vocalista Blossom Dearie que conheceu em Paris e o levou para a América, onde tocou com J. J. Johnson, Coltrane, Miles e Donald Byrd. Jaspar perdeu a oportunidade de se tornar num dos maiores inovadores na arte de tocar tenor. Aqui toca standards em Paris.
